Member MUST be in good standing with the Simcoe County Home Builders' Association
New Home, Renovation, and Design project entries shall be located within the Simcoe County / Georgian Bay / Muskoka regions.
New Home entry pricing must be inclusive of net HST and the market value for the lot; should question arise regarding the category for which any entry is submitted, the member company must be able to substantiate price-point upon request
Winning entries from a previous year are NOT eligible to re-enter in the same category
Previous projects deemed a “finalist” ARE ABSOLUTELY eligible to re-enter the same category
To qualify for a New Home Category, the General Contractor must be registered with Tarion
New Home, Renovation, and Marketing Awards will be presented to the “General Contractor” of the project
General Contractor is defined as being responsible for coordinating subcontractors involved in the project
Design Credit will be presented for New Home, Renovation, and Marketing categories to those SCHBA members whom the General Contractor wishes to recognize as having made a significant contribution to the design of the marketing material or building project. If an SCHBAmember made a significant contribution to the project, please recognize their work. Limit of two design credits per entry
If a supplier or sub-trade wishes to submit an entry into a New Home, Renovation, or Marketing category to receive Design Credit, they must receive consent from the General Contractor. General Contractor must be a member, and will receive the Award should the entry win
Design categories are open to submission from any member company
Acceptance of submissions received is at the discretion of SCHBA
